Fig Tree From Godfather Movie Update Cuttings Available

IMHO, comparing the leaves of The Godfather fig and of those of Sal's Corleone, I don't see any similarity. The leaves on the Godfather fig are more lobed whereas Sal's Corleone are not. This is a good thing in a way because it means that there is still hope that the GF fig is a unique variety of its own and not another synonym for an already popular red fig from Palermo, i.e., Sal's Corleone, Aldo's Palermo Red, Black Weeping, Black Triana, etc., etc.

Oh no! Black Triana is the same as Sals Corleone?

Thanks for the post Leon. I respect your opinion and agree that more detective work needs to be done here. This is why I have only speculated on the variety. And yes, I love your idea that it might be something special and unique
That I can definitively say. It is absolutely something special and fun.

Coop thank you very much for the wonderful fig cuttings that you sent as well
as the extras that you gave, it's very generous of you.

I potted two godfather and a brooklyn dk on 1-20-17. I used parafilm but they broke thru already. They have all sent out very visible roots and have leafed. They are in the cup method I learned on this site. I have wrapped the bottom clear cup. I originally started with 1 center hole in the top cup about 3/16. I added another hole yesterday and another today. I have a heat mat keeping between 70-74 deg's. l have an agrobrite 4' 8 tube t5 432 watt light. Much has been Posted on the subject but my guestions are
1. When do I remove the top cup ?
2. How high do I put this particular light above plants ?

Coops cuttings were as fresh as the ones I started from my backyard. Thank you again
Your cuttings are doing better than ones I started Jan third from backyard they leafed and dropped them. I checked one that looked the worst I had wet bark sliding off. All that I read about watching the water and I did it probably to 20 plus cuttings. Glad they came from my backyard.
