Fig tree from the jersey shore

What a find at the jersey shore had to crop the picture down to fit but you get the idea..Produces Walnut sized green figs real sweet.. That is all the owner knew..Awaiting fruit to ripen as the owner is the only one that eats the figs and the tree produces over a thousand figs each season..Obviously no winter protection for this tree.

Great picture!  Thanks for sharing this.

Hopefully one of the more experienced members can help you identify this fig.

Hope you have a great growing season there in New Jersey.

Best wishes.

Conadria?

What color is the flesh inside?

I hope you got some cuttings!  Cheers, Dennis

Jason, seems to small a fruit to be Conadria.

That certainly looks like a very healthy fig tree.

The owner does not recall 100% the interior color I was invited back when the fruit ripens for the harvest..Cuttings the owner said take what you want I got a few enough to make 20-25 cuttings. This fig hunting is fun and addicting.

Wow thats beautifull I wish I could have a fig tree that big inground here. Lovely pics by the way

It is great that people in colder climates can enjoy growing figs in ground.  Nothing beats the taste of  home grown figs!  You may need a little protection from cold some years, but some fig trees are quite cold tolerant for a plant native to sub tropical areas.

WOW that's a great looking tree, don't we all wish we had one like that growing in our yards so we could eat all of the figs. OK Maybe even have enough figs to share...

Ver Possible Kadota/Dotato
It is sure Kadota? Dotato,in Italy!!

That tree is gorgeous!  Is it near Manchester?  Mike's mom lives there in the shore area.  How did it taste?

The tree reminds me of the tree my grandfather had on he property in Settibagni, near Rome Italy.  We would actually climb it and gather the fruit.  I am jealous, all those figs in the box.  I hope some day I can do some fig hunting, maybe if i go south on a vacation.  Great posting.
