Fig tree on TV -- 15 seconds of fame

While watching TV a couple of months ago, I mused about the possibility of seeing a fig tree in the background of some scene.  Well, it finally happened last night.  I was flicking around and paused on Law and Order: SVU, where a bust was about to go down.  They stormed into this house and eventually out into the back yard where there was....you guessed it....a fig tree!

Will keep my eye out on the TV programs.....Good Stuff.....!!!!

Did you get a cutting?

The character Hannah McKay in season 7 of Dexter had a fig tree in her garden.

Made me imagine the program with a detective whose hobby is collecting and tasting figs, he stops in the midst of a drug bust to ask the perp's mother for a cutting of that fascinating purple fig in the front yard that was brought over from Sicily by her grandfather, the exciting car chase scene ending up with the detective crashing into a giant bush & he looks up and sees figs on it and smiles from ear to ear then helps himself while his non-fig-addicted partner just shakes his head, next scene he is walking around in the red light district talking about growing VdB in a pot vs in-ground with pimps and 'hoes', then is sent out to make a bust on an illegal fig importer and has to decide on following the law or his heart. Finally he gets into an argument with the Godfather in Chicago by asking "what's the matter with light figs anyway?"

Man, think of all the drama and excitement! And they could pick up pointers and script material right here on this forum!

I saw an episode of law and order where this man was in a hospital and this guy brought him these green figs from some market. I didn't really get to watch much of it though. He munched them down though.

Hey, you never know...one of the Law and Order writers could be a fig lover.  Maybe he wrote in the script "...then they go out into the back yard and bust the guy in a hot tub next to a fig tree."
I just read that much the Law and Order: SVU is shot on location in the 5 boroughs of NYC...lots of nice figs to choose from.

I thought all the law and orders are in nyc. I could be wrong though.

Saw fig tree on show called the Mentalist last season.

No fig tree, but I did see figs used in a Kerrygold commercial.  They featured their Dubliner cheese in a fig pizza with walnuts.  It looked yummy, so I went to the website for more info on the cheese, and found a couple of recipes for fig pizza; there is also a pasta dish with figs and arugula that looks interesting.  I can't wait to have enough figs to try actual recipes. :)

Ed  yessss!  a reality show,  it's all there like you said, drama and excitement.

Well, it just happened again!  I was watching an episode of "Man, Woman, Wild" on netflix (Season 2 Episode 11).  The show was located in Croatia.  Spectacularly beautiful, but rugged, country.  The two main characters picked a bunch of really nice looking purple ones, and they were passing fig trees left and right toward the end of the show.
...That's two TV fig sightings in two weeks for me.  I should have started this off as a contest!

I saw one too it was 007 with Roger Moore he was walking thru a small town and stopped at a fruit stand and picked up a fig and ate it and kept walking

My daughter was watching an old episode of "Bunheads", which is shot somewhere in California, and I spotted a small, lanky fig tree in the foreground of one scene.
My kids officially think I'm a freak!!! ;-)
