Fig tree pruning done, Whew!!!

I finally god my trees pruned this year from about 14ft to 6 ft and enough wood for a big bon fire.  My Patrick Super Giant had immature late figs that stayed on over winter and appeared to shrivel somewhat.  When I pruned today, the left over figs were beginning to green up and swell some, even though there is some slight frost burn.  They were about 1/2 the size of a golf ball already. I wonder now if left, would they preceed the breba crop and is that possible?  It is a moot point because all limbs have been cut, but I do have a pic of a couple on the tip.  There were 50 -100 but 14 ft. is too high to risk an injury.  The only one that seemed concerned is the ever present mockingbird.  I will still try some unorthodox methods to root these cuttings. Anyway, that is one job I am glad is over for this year, now for the fig shuffle dance, most of us know by now.

That's a good question, I have always wondered if partially grown figs that over-winter are considered a breba the following season or not. Do they even make it, or do they just grow for awhile then shrivel and fall off. That's what happened to the ones that were on the trees that I started with last spring. Last fall I flicked all of the partials off of mine so the plants wouldn't waste any resources on a doomed fig.

There is a tree near me that is having the same thing happening with left over figs and some frost damage, I will keep an eye on them to see if they fall off or keep developing, this tree is in a greenhouse and only got to maybe -2 or -3 Celsius.

CH, having the pruning done is a good feeling.

What can you tell us about Patrick Super Giant. Not much info around on this fig. From what I read it may do good here in the heat of southwest TX. Any info is helpful.
