Thanks to very good weather, that we had (warm and dry) my fig tree, decided to grow again. ;)
Now just wait for the first frost. :(
Good luck with it.
I am in the same boat here in Louisiana. Big beautiful trees still growing strong. The only fig in my yard that knows enough to shut everything down is good ole celeste. I don't think it's a coincidence.
Hi Maris,Cut down on watering and fertilizer. Despite the temps, day duration should be shorter by now for you as well. That will get the trees to go dormant.Do you have a lighting system near that tree ? I often see trees near public lights keep their leaves green for a longer period. If so try to shut down that light ...
Of course not. I don't use any lights ;) Fig grows in garden, just like another tree. I don't watering and fertilizer this fig. (only rain does).
BTW I think that is to early to shed leaves.
