Fig Trees from Italy

Hello everyone, our my family friend that is from southern Italy (Bari) Has 3 different trees that he has brought back from Italy over the years. They all are planted and do get buried in Chicago winter. He said I can have all the cutting when he prunes his trees this fall.  I got the grand tour Friday 6/28/13 as he was teaching me the summer pruning of grape vines. I do have pictures and I will try to up load them. He has no clue what the kind except long neck, dark and light. Don't worry, I will share:)

That is super! Thanks, fespo! Would love to try them.

definitely looking forward to them.

Add me to the list!  Thanks.

I'd love to be added to the list also , please . Italian Unk's are my favorites ! Thanks so much.

Me too. I love the unknown's especially when you know they came from Italy.

I would love to have cuttings. Please add me to the list. Thanks in advance.

Please add me to the list as well.  I like trying unknowns down here in Houston to see how well they do in the heat and humidity.

Me too if it is not to late.

thanks
goss

dont forget me if it's not too late.

ditto.  Bari is where the ancestors of a fig friend around here came from.  He doesn't have family there any longer that he's in touch with.  Anyway, if not too late, then ditto about the trades list.  (And let me know what you're looking for... got a bunch that'll be pruned in the fall).

Sounds fabulous!! Glenns fathers family is from Bari!

Please put me on the list too ;)

Dad was born in Bari ( Mola Di Bari ) was a fisherman on the boats at young age to help family and thus little education,  my grandfather was a baker in Mola.

Thank you for sharing. I'll like to try some if not to late.
Vito.
