Great prices . About $2.25 per plant .
Unfortunately you must buy a skid of 500 .
Royal in Greek is " vasilika " so the 2 figs called royal are the vasilika varieties we have here . Syka means figs . So vasilika syka = royal figs
The one labelled black mission looks more like a cddn .

For that price, you can go to Greece, and take cuttings!!  Bring them back in your shoe!

Gel shoe insoles/inserts are prohibited by the TSA

All shoes get put on the belt with carry on items.

You might have to stash those cuttings in a more secure place,
get yourself  "figged up" with your cuttings  :-)

Go dressed as Bozo the clown with the big floppy shoes. You could get a couple dozen in each shoe. Anyone game?

I got it ........ drill a hole in a straight cutting and insert the internals of a pen like the tube in a bic pen cut it short so the hole drilled in cutting is small maybe you could get away with one or two of those tie a ribbon to the top or something and make it look like a present or a souvenir make them Greek traditional twig pens etc ??? You could even put a homemade price tag on it and say you bought it at a local street fair etc ... DONE.
PS try and obviously get a really used one with a lot less ink so you can cut it down.

Close, But No Cigar
Jonathan Wilson, an inmate at the Okeechobee County Jail in Florida,
was charged with drug possession and introducing contraband into a jail.

The 350-pound Wilson had concealed a cigar tube containing
1.9 grams of cocaine "in a fat roll" on his stomach, say jailers.

My husband wants to know why I am laughing.
"Fig jokes"

I saw on CNN a woman who made herself a cocaine diaper.
Fig diaper, anyone? Might be a little stiff though.

"OUCH! I think I'll pass!"
  Yes! you certainly will!

It's probably best to incorperate it into somethng like:
hidden as the cross bar in a touristy wall hanging, or flag.
or part of a basket, or in a purse handle.
But, put it in your checked luggage, not carry on.

If you can convince an old greek man who is going on the plane to hide them in his beard, that would be bullet proof, you would never be able to find them in his beard.

VASILIKA MELISI is a wonderfull fig.  It is somehow waxy and shiny outside and very tasty inside. Unfortunatly I don't have any other varieties from this page, but they sure look very good.
Now I have them on my
"Figs" list for my next visit to Greece.
