here it is...my pet,I need to name her for the records!
Thanks for sharing. That is a female wasp. The matter of fact, all wasps that you see flying outside are female. Thanks. Best, Tam
yes,...so I said "I need to name her..." :)
Phsyllis, Psyche, Psally, Psophia...Or perhapsBlarbra, Blettiphasia
Psophia ...hahahaPrincessa Psophia LOL
Polly - as in "Go Polly-nate my figs"Don't get too attached to your pet, Aaron, she will likely go pollinate someone elses figs too.
Pollina LOLI have a cousin named Pauline...Ed, she can't leave me, I have chained her to my 300+ y.o. California Oak tree!
Thanks for sharing Aaron! How often do you see them in Los Angeles? Are they easy to spot?I'm down in Oceanside and I have been keeping an eye on some wild caprifig trees in the San Luis river bed and I have seen very very few wasps. I think I might have showed up a little too late and they already left the caprifigs. I guess the amount of wasps in the North San Diego depends on whether or not my san pedro varieties get pollinated...I'll find out at the end of summer...fingers crossed...
@donpaid, they are pretty much everywhere... after a while your eyes see them everywhere and , no, it's not an illusion. :)
Aaron,I wonder what has been happening along that memorable creek ...... (??)Francisco
@Francisco, I haven't visited LA Riverbank for a long time, perhaps it is time...
