So I got this Kadota Fig Tree that I planted in the ground yesterday. However, due to the unseasonably hot weather this early in the season (84-89) through Sunday, I needed to come up with something to shelter it from possible transplant shock. Normally the sun isn't a concern with cooler temperatures when transplanting, but the added heat may cause the tree to show signs of stress especially on the leaves. So voila! The Coca Cola umbrella will hopefully do the job until the temps return to normal next week.
