I have been really sad about the story of the momma Preto and its demise. :-(  And heartened by the fact that it was found and shared in the community by a fellow fig lover.  Then I was calling my online bank and they had a joke of the day that involved a fig.  A message from the figs, maybe.  I smiled anyway and wanted to share it...

Why did the fig go out with the apple?




Because he couldn't get a date.  

I want to say thank you to everyone who has saved and shared a piece of these magnificent trees with me.  I am truly blessed and am looking forward to spreading the bounty myself.

Love on your figs and all green things today.  ;-)
