Wife made all of this for dinner. Loved it all. Sandwich had provolone cheese minced figs and bacon. Then for desert reduced coffee with honey and vanilla and sliced figs served hot over ice cream. Then fig scones for my morning coffee

Look good. Here's hoping that I get a good crop!
Richie - can you have your wife share her fig scone recipe? Really would like to try that!!!
I'm liking that sandwich idea!
The food looks and sounds delicious! I just got done eating some Home maid Fig ice cream.
Wow Richie they all sound wonderful. I'd love to try the Fig scones too. Looking forward to the recipe. Happy summer o' Figs!
Wow Richie my mouth is watering your wife is a wonderful cook
The figgy piggy is a staple sandwich in our house now
I got the munchies and this does not help.
Bacon figs cheese bread. Cant go wrong. Grill in in a pan.
This is the link to the scones. Fwd: Making Today Beautiful – Fig Scones http://making-today-beautiful.com/2013/08/19/fig-scones/ The figgy piggys, we used slices of french bread buttered on the outside like a grill cheese sandwich, we put a layer of fig jam, provolone cheese and bacon we had fried earlier in the middle then just cook in frying pan just like you would a grill cheese. We have been experimenting with different cheeses, pepper jack is really good too!!
Richie, try goat cheese
Where can you buy goat cheese? Is it commonly sold. ? Or is it Spanish. We have Spanish stores.
I have always used gouda cheese for anything that calls for goat cheese and can be purchased at common grocery stores. Thanks for the wine recipe
We keep gouda in the house and have recently used in the figgy piggy. Making me want one now. Lol.
Smoked gouda is my favorite cheese.
I keep looking for the "like" button! Brie with fig jam and bacon or prosciutto is great, also.
I would've hit the like button on yours bob and grant post. Smoked gouda is great. Never had brie or prosciutto. Have to hit up Google
Richie, I get my goat cheese at a local Italian dely , the Spanish store should have it also. If you haven't had prosciutto you are missing out on something delicious, the Spanish have their own version not sure what they call it just as good.
Thanks. I will see if i can get some tomorrow
