I was going to do that and i was told they wouldn't make it. Good to see it works. My col de dame grise had a bunch i pulled.

also have SV, BG, and a BM , with figs on them , just hope they taste good ,had a few last year that were almost ripe but the squirrels beat me to them

Squirrels must die in my yard. Keep 410 handy

Which I could that here.

It appears that your FP does not have leaves yet?  I am wondering if the figs will ripen properly without leaves to provide the sugars from photosynthesis.  Please let us know how they taste.

That is my main concern....will let you know

Use a pellet gun and eat the squirrel.Squirrel with Louisiana hot sauce.Fig trees are the bait for a good meal.

Haha.....would have no problem shoot squirrels but my neighbors might

John, what is the average low winter temperature, in your garage?

Bob Harper

Hi Bob, it never went below 34 and the average was around 38

update ...this fig was starting to spoil so I had to pick it....unfortunately it was pretty tasteless because it was picked to early, but there are a few more on the tree, hopefully the rest will be better...sorry for the poor picture quality

Did they ripen up good for you ? I have my figs getting spoiled by some kind of bug getting to them before they ripen all the way. Yours look good.

Hey Richie,
They did ripen but were pretty bland.

I think trees that are 4 to 5 years old really start to taste really good. Good to see you have a healthy tree

Thanks,This tree is 21/2 years , was started as a cutting
