We have nice and warm weather here in Illinois I been watering some of my my fig trees 2 times a day .Here is pic taken mid day before watering.

Hi Remis, yes nice weather we been having . Is that plant inground ? I have been watering my containers about every other day we need rain im very low on rain barrel water now.

Yes that plant is inground. In some containers I have very light soil mix ,seems like plants love it but on hot days I need water them twice. Otherwise top leafs wilt and burn .

I understand i thought it looked inground as it looks next to cement or something similar. Remis soil for that plant as you probably already know is getting lots of heat that why it dries so quick now. For example my grass edges along all the parkways is dry where it borders side walk and also the drive way edges all brown now a good 6 - 8 inches in. Some neighbors i notice not as bad though as there grass was seed grown . Help may be on the way as i read we may get a good inch ( hopefully) of rain starting tonight least at my zip code i typed in , im glad my rain barrel will easily fill up. Ground is rather dry as i was in veggie garden tilling and seeding some cool season crops .
According to our weatherman this time we are in is the hottest part of our season. Then................
