I have two little guys who are doing one heck of a job at surviving... one is a beat up stick that my puppy was chewing on. I don't know where he found it because I usually do a good job of gathering any cuttings up but anyway, it was about 5 inches long with only one set of nodes. It started to rot in some perlite but I didn't want to give up on it so I threw it in some soil. It has been resting in the dark corner behind my tv box (=nice and warm) and viola! about a month later, it has a nice root! It isn't the prettiest specimen but it sure is trying. The other little guy was the tip of one of my cuttings that I threw into a used yogurt container with some soil and now he has his first real leaf! The piece of cutting was the size of my thumb nail :)Hope you enjoy my pictures!
Beginners luck :)I'm sure that if you try once more, it will be harder to have success ...
not really a beginner's luck. given proper environment, fig will thrive. she made it work.
Yes, they are :)
Strong work! Never give up! Those figs will be the sweetest because you overcame so much to get them.
Good job lelsa! You're on the right path.
Good luck. Don't let the Sandman get them!
