I was doing some work in the garden this afternoon and thought I'd snap a few pics of some of the figs & blueberries.
Here's three baby Black Mission figs I started rooting in late December when I cutback my larger tree (that still hasn't produced, but is only a little over a year old):

Here's one of three Strawberry Verte cuttings I purchased from Jon in mid/late February. All three have rooted, but this was the first one potted up just today:

Here's two Brown Turkey figs ripening up:

Here's a third BT ripening on the same bush:

Also, I have four different varieties of Southern Highbush Blueberry. It appears I got lucky in my selections since one pair ripen earlier in the season, but at the same time, and the other two are both just starting to flower out together, so they should ripen about the same time. As a result, this is the first time I've really been able to see the results of cross-pollination which is supposed to increase both yields and size of the berries.
Well, it sure appears to be working!
This is a one year old Sharp Blue blueberry plant that is so loaded with huge berries that virtually every branch is drooping to the ground (you can get just a glimpse of some of the berries on the cross-pollenator in the bottom-right of the pic):

You can see the sagging of the branches in this pic:

The berries are huge!
