George,

You wouldn't happen to have an Australian variant of a Brown Turkey for this blok ( dude ) we know here in the States would you?

He loves the B/T variants.

Thanks

HI Rafed

The problem with figs in Australia they have been  misnamed.

Brown Turkey is a loose term for figs here like the Black Genoa.

So answer to your question we could have yes.

George

That's good to know George,

Thinking about sending some to Jon

Great pictures of some mouth watering fig varieties. I wish I could teleport myself to Australia for a big snack of those delicious looking figs. Too sad that there is no way of getting cuttings to me here in the states. Thanks for posting these beauties!

Eve, Buffalo,NY

Interesting lobes

I like the leaf on the 3rd pic.

many thanks everyone

eve i sent you email to discuss cuttings

George

George, I ran across this site tonight and thought of you
http://www.foodforest.com.au/Tony%20Stevens%20Fig%20Collection.html

Many thanks Jason

I do know the site.  The late Tony stevens had a large collection of figs, but there identities on most are not known, and the figs were called whatever. The is the major problem in figs within Australia.

George

Hi George
Great looking figs,Is it possible to get cuttings from Australia?
Vito

Vito you have mail

George, great pics! Next time can you put something in the photo like a coin so we can tell the relative size of the leaves and fruit? They all look great but I agree with Rafed, I like the third leaf too. The 6th leave looks like Aked but not the fruit. So which were your favorites?
Sue

HI Sue

The figs are from a friend in Western Australia, they had a fantastic summer, we had floods are the crop was disappointing.

I been told the Black Turkey is a fantastic fig, it has been at the owners property for 2 generations, very old fig

I can get some cuttings if interested?

I have to ask, is the preto similar to the BM?

George
