Figs Gone Wild!

The last few weeks our weather has been dry and low humidity with the couple cool fronts we've had.50's nights and 80's daytime. The figs are loving it. Here are three pictures of some picked this evening. The Atreano is loaded and the figs are sweet and tasty compare to earlier in the season. The Vdb is still producing figs and are delicious as well. Lsu Purple is loaded and is ripening some much tastier figs now. Anyway, enjoy the pic's. First pic.is the Vdb.

If your useing photobucket or another type of site look for the img code not the html and paste it here it and picture will show.

Thanks Martin, I use Picasa 3 and have never had this problem. I'll try the image code and see what happens.

I use photobucket and shrink the pics to under a 1mb and never had problem its a glitch within the forum not on our end.

I know it goes against the grain, but I also find my figs have improved in flavor with a little cooler weather at night and down to 80's in day from mid 90's also humidity has been down the past 2 weeks. I'm thinking late ripening figs might be more ideal in my climate????

Pictures finally loaded. Yeah!

Sal, I don't know about your climate, but it's been dry here for about two months and I think the combination of cool nights, dryer soil, lower humidity and 80's daytime has been ideal for some sweet,tasty figs. My black heavy clay soil holds moisture for a long time. This is the second main crop on the Atreano and LSU Purple. The Vdb has produced figs along continuously.

Tim did you post pictures?

Hi Nelson, yes I posted pictures yesterday, but they are now gone. Just posted them again!

Pictures going WILD?!

Yeah, me too had some nightmares with them pics vanishing.
No it was not a "photobucket" (server) change of name/location issue,
these were directly loaded (right-size) from my PC .

Bad (pic) things tend to happen when/if one 'edits' the initial post;
if so, hit the 'back' button, and (somehow) the pics re-appear
(without the need to re-upload).

This  good web sometimes acts in some mysterious ways....

Gorgi, you have it nailed down perfectly. Thanks for the advice on the back button. This forum is great despite the occasional blips.
