This is probably a question for the SoCal locals.

I am going to Palm Springs for this weekend, driving from Los Angeles.
Are there interesting fig locations in Palm Springs or nearby?
Like trees or nurseries or farms?

It is hot like hell during a summer so a fig from there would survive any amount of sun in any other location!

I would say 1 hour radius from Palm Springs

Oh, I was thinking in the LA hours! In 1 hour you cannot get far here, near Palm Springs that would be 20-30 min.

So lets make it 20-30 min from Palm Springs.

I don't know about figs but there are 2 or 3 date plantations.  One has great date shakes and their own citrus.  I'm pretty sure it's this place

It just this time I thought I would try some desert fig hunting.
Oh, well, I will just enjoy the views.
