figs in Selçuk, Turkey

More pictures...

...montreal...,

I love the first fig-pic.
Beautiful leaves from some moon-scape-like area.

The 2nd fig-pic, reminds me of a recent pic my brother-in-law
sent me. Note also the typical Med. Sea summer arid conditions.
See pic.  No I do not have it (yet).

Your last pic seems to be from a more lush area.

All the pictures are a few 100 meters from each other. They are close to ancient roman ruins of Ephesus. The picture of the ''lush'' figs is from a fig tree that had a quite large trunk. I will return there tuesday and I could do more pictures. Otherwise, tomorrow I am off to the research center. I was a bit off work because the location is completly off the tourist track in a small town. I really hope I will not get lost on the way...

I will see how it goes and there should be a video from my visit at the research center.

I forgot this one

Thanks for the nice extra pic.
Yes, wild figs tend to grow wherever a flying bird happens
to drop some poop!

Referring to the 1st "moon-scape" pic, the fig leaves
are "real" green. Under that "barren" surroundings, there
must be some good moisture. Also, I see a little shrub (or 2)
growing right on the rock. Let me guess... they must be
Caper bushes; which are also notorious to establish
themselves in the most uninhabitable places on earth.

Beautiful pictures, they do look familiar.
Gorgi, yes, the bush growing is the Cappero( Caper)  They are such a common sight throughout Italy (mediterranean areas) Good eye, i caught that as well.  I am sure you seen many of those growing also in Malta.  We had them growing on our walls all throughout our property back home and even down the large stone chimney of the house.  I like the buds on Pizza and in sauces.  I grow Cappero here in large pots in Pennsylvania.  Some just for the flowers.
Beautiful pictures, can't wait to see more and be safe on your trip. Ciao

Nice pictures very nice.
Thanks for taking the time to share them with us.

Thanks for the pic's.
Hope you get rewarded with some tasty wild figs.

OK,
I think that I have just (tentatively) ID'd my brother-in-law's fig
(pic in my #2 post above), as a JB#3 fig, aka;
(M) Parsott abjad, (It) Brogiotto bianco.
