Figs local to Mistretta, Italy

I have a friend who's retiring from the nursery business.  He's getting a big crop from the Hardy Chicago cuttings I taught him to propagate from.  I would like to give him some figs from near his home town of Mistretta, about 90 KM (56 mi) East of Palermo and 107 KM (67 mi) West of Messina as the crow flies, near the northern coast of Sicily.  Looks like I got lucky with the HC since it's a Mt Etna type.  Are there others?

Sounds close to the great Norman city of Cefalù that I once visited. Giuseppe in upstate NY is growing a great Sicilian black fig called Carrapippe Nero. Comes from near Catania.
