Figs not growing after re-locating plant

A few of the plants I bought this year that had figs on them, when taking them to their new home the figs never got any bigger than they were when I bought them. Is this common when you move a potted fig tree from one location to the other, to they need time to adapt to their new home? And if so is it even worth getting a plant that has allot of figs on it already?

Hi Nelson it may depend on when the tree grew them figs, i admit i never bought one with figs on it already came close as we discussed in email but chose another better looking plant.

But what i have noticed thruout the years on most of my plants, once they come out they grow fast to a certain size then hold that size for a good deal of time until they finally decide to swell and turn color.
Thats on most of mine but not all for a few act a little different .

Perhaps your plant has them grown to size already and now there at stage were they hold size now until they swell and get ready to ripen soon afterwards.

Hey Martin I had my peters honey here at work and it was growing nicely after taking it to my parents house it has not grown at all. The mission also came to a hault for about 3 weeks and then decided to start growing again thats the only one that actually did something the two kadotas  the figs have been the same size since they were purchased 6 weeks ago. Wonder if they need to be fertilized I was fertilizing them with a liquid fertilizer when they were here at work now they dont get anything besides sun & Water. HMMMMMM I WONDER

Nelson, I have a few stubborn variants like Blk Ischia,  Ruby 3, Moscatel Branco, Improved Celeste, Natalina, Gino, RdB and B.Violetta that's not growing at all for now. Hence I have moved them to partial shade & giving them light dosage of MG on every watering. The same happened last year to my Bat.Green and then it took off in August.

Nelson it was inddors at work and went to your parents house outdoors?
It may be the change its trying to adjust to who knows for sure. ?
Only time i realize a stagnant stage in growth basically is when i transfer a cutting from inside to outside and into newer pot but not always, my VdB put on some figs this season but its very rootbound and many branches with no figs or some have just started figlets, i had to thin out some of branches so the 25 or so nice size ones will ripen then give it a good root pruning come late winter.

Paully i can understand the problem with Black Ischia , you mention RdB is that ronde de bordeaux ? - if so mine is growing the strongest even the one that i thought died really is shooting up fast and i even have an airlayer on that one. This type i would like to graft onto ischia black next spring .

Paully I think some fertilizer would help them going again as I was giving them liquid fertilizer every other watering a Light mix of miracle grow fertilizer but its been about 4-5 weeks I cant even remember now since it got some fertilizer. I do have some 10-10-10 at my dads will give them some this weekend. The plants have been in full sun since going to my parents.

Martin I had the plants at work but outside from about 6:30AM to about 6PM when I left work I would put them inside. Now that I think of it the plant before going to my dads was indoors for about 5 days as it was raining daily. Not sure if that was the cause but like you said it is stagnant for sure it has not grown any leaves either since its been there.

Martin, yes its Ronde de Bordeaux. It grew very well last year but the cold snap in 1st week Oct last year killed the tender shoots from the cutting that was started in the same yr.This year it started good until I placed it into ground. Its getting full sun. May be it needs a little shade to spurt some growth. Its at least
2ft high & since it went in ground & full sun, it don't seem it wants to grow. I have been using MG 24-8-16.
