Last year I had already picked 100+ pounds of figs from trees around town by the 15th of July.  This year, the trees are loaded like I have never seen and none are ripe.  It has been a wet year to date but I have not seen that cause delayed ripening in the past.  Some of my trees have figs about the size of a dime appears by the color to be ripe but they are hard and soon after changing color, fall off the tree, I don't know if the two symptoms are related.

I had similar problem last year. figs changing colour, but not swelling, then falling off, soft and rubbery.

Danny, it hasn't been wet here but I have the same issues as you and Grant. Around July 20th last year is when
mine really started getting ripe so I am hoping that they will start hanging on the trees for me.

The old fig orchard owner I talked with yesterday said that his trees were about 10 days behind normal this year due to the cooler than normal weather in June.

It seems everything's late this year.
My irises bloomed two weeks later than last year.
I began picking blueberries on June 29 last year, this year it was July 7th.
My daylilies peak on or about the 4th of July, this year...not yet.
Also, there seems to be a lot less bloom.
The daffodils hardly made a show.
I hope we have a long, warm Fall, otherwise there'll be many figs left on our trees when the frost hits.
My JH Adriatic, Atreano, Brown Turkey, and St. Anthony just started putting on figs this past week.
Yellow Magnolia, White Triana, Stella, Marylane Seedless, Lyndhurst White...still nothing. I've pinched and pinched, and all I get is more branches!
