Figs On the BBQ PICS

I decided to try: slit figs long ways stuff with goat cheese and wrap with prosciutto skewer crack pepper if you like and drizzle a little honey place on BBQ for few minutes and turn to melt and warm other side. Came out very good IMHO. Sorry for picture quality only had cell with me.

Looks great.  Inspiring.

Sal, what kind of figs U used for BBQ? I am tempted to use Desert King some time soon.

OMG... those look good.

Paul I used brunswick, conadria, and black unknown. I say use what you have the heat will bring out the sugars. I broke in my brother in laws new grill with these yesterday.lol I did find the small figs were harder to stuff and get the prosciutto cut a little thicker than paper as this was cut so thin it was falling apart. I wanted to use mascarpone cheese but they were out I think you can use any soft type cheese you like, the goat cheese was very good though. Enjoy and let us know how you like it. You can do this in oven on broil also

Wow!  I hope one day to have enough figs ripe at one time to do that!  Yummm!!

Great idea!  I'm hungry.......

Do we have a single ongoing recipe thread?  I see them here and there.  We need one.  Jon, how?

Hopefully I'll have enough next year to try this. Goat cheese sounds wonderful with the figs.

Oh my my it's gross!

Looks very tasty Sal. I'll have to give it a try. Keep up the good work.

God Bless you Sal your living good !

Sfrj. don't knock it until you try it.

I made this recipe a couple of years ago and it was yummy! Great appitizers.

I'm going stick with tree-to-mouth.

Jon can you go for this accompaniment?
Shoot I forgot the wine

Man, first time I saw post #1 pics, I thought that they were
some miniture BQ'd chickens/birds. Anyway, they look delicious.

ROTF Gorgi!!! Wife is gone, girls night out, you know
So I invited the boys over to share my figs and a glass of wine. Them darn guys drank the whole bottle That is my story and I'm sticking to it. lol

Sal, no problem: just not into the extra processing (drying, barbecue, jam, etc).
