figs over 100 grams

I have seen many fig lovers inquire about larger fruits but I have never found a list of figs that are very large. Without starting a polemic about breba being bigger we concentrate on varieties with very large fruit. Maybe we could come up with something with the contribution of the members. Please copy and paste before you add so that at the end we have a final list.

184-15         100g
Sequoia         130g

Black Jack
California Brown Turkey
Lindhurst White
Atreano
143-36
The very large fruited cultivar need hot long dry Summer to make delicious fruits ,otherwise they will be bland tasting.
In my climate Atreano do best but this year,it made ,just good enough fruits due to cool rainy Summer.

BC Kronos Sika are enourmous

Pied de Boeuf is Ginormous but bland in low heat summers.  I've never had it in a warm summer place.

This is what we got till now: if you copy and paste before you add your next one, we will have a list:

I have Atreano which I consider medium to large but not a very large one. My Conadria are bigger than Atreano.
My Black Jack did not fruit yet.

And I had Conadria ,from the original source UC Davis and can state that the fruits were much smaller than Atreano fruits ,Breba or main crop.
According to what you are saying you do not have Conadria.
Here is Atreano Breba: 140 gram in weight
Show me your larger Conadria!
Here are  pixies of my Conadria fruits taken in 2008

Edit Note:The Atreano Breba in the pix below, was the largest I ever had.
Usually they are ,100 to 12o grams in weight but this one was larger.
For me ,being so large is not necessary good , because at least one third of weight is extra water, and so a fruit like that is not necessary the best flavored but rather ,Watery in taste. And this fact is true for all varieties, large and heavy mean extra water inside, and less taste.
Main crop goes from 80 to 90 grams and they can be delicious.

The largest Panache I weighed last year was exactly 100 grams.  Maybe I could have included a bit of the stem?  It was probably caprified, though.

Herman
My Conadria are from EL
The larger size might have been because they had only one fruit while Atreano had several.
PS: Looking back at my notes, I have to admit you are right Herman: Atreano breba was bigger.

Biggest last year for me was Stella ---- like a pear. Another consistent good size one was
Longue d'Aout. Anyone heard of the "Smoche" fig ? I was told it is a humongus size fig.
I have not seen it & it is said to originated from Italy.

Posting the corresponding photos would help ... Or else it will look all like "some said".
If you're afraid of someone taking your photo just throw your F4F name in the middle of the photo - It still will help people trust your sayings.
Thanks a lot .
At my location this year, my figs were smaller, perhaps the better tree had a bit too much figs ( not enough for me, but still... ), and the climate was on the cool so it didn't help some strains
produce like they would have - some even dropped their brebas ... like my "dorée/goutte d'or" and my "longue d'aout", and the main crop got delayed and appeared on 1st September so some 2 months too late to have a chance to go ripe..
For the panache, is it the real panache, or some stripped fig ? I saw some other strains making bigger stripped figs . All panache I saw were on the small size.

According to Baud, Dauphine breba is between 100 to 150g

jdsfrance, I've previously posted photos of my Panache as well as the Sequoia and 184-15.  The Panache is the the only striped fig sold in California at this time.  My tree is vigorous and I did prune it pretty heavily last winter and only the figs late in the season were small.  Sometimes the skin are very tough and sometimes not so much and sometimes the stripes fade as the fruit ripens and sometimes they don't.  I don't understand why but I do always enjoy the taste of these.  I can pick ripe figs from my Panache just about every day for three months.  I thought I was going to get some breba figs to ripen but I looked at them too hard and they dropped off.

Okay?

Harvey those are amazing figs man, that Panache looks like a trophy winner.
Sal thanks for starting this post, these are great varieties guys, I bet they will do much better in LA summers , getting sweeter. I definitely will grow those on the hillside facing South West.

Sal, just a FYI, in post 15 you have Black Jack misplaced in the same line as Sequoia, I believe.  It's not discussed in that thread of mine that follows it.  That thread discussed Sequoia and 184-15.

Thanks Harvey: correction done

Madeleine des deux Saisons breba 100-120g

What abut Grosse Monstreuse de Lipari? How big is it?

Monstreuse, for me, probably doesn't get over 50-60 grams.  I have a thread on it (or at least a post with a photo).  For quite a few years I really didn't enjoy it as much as it deserved as I had trouble getting past the green color but it is a delicious fig.  I've read that birds don't pay any regard to color but I've had little to no bird damage on Monstreuse.

I did not weigh them but my Fannick's Texas Blue Giants were quite large, didn't split and tasted darn good.

Did anyone ever had a brown turkey that is more than 100g?

maybe a caprified one?

Sal, I've been growing Jurupa for at least 10 years.  Both breba and main crops are good (not much difference, IMO).  I probably have had some get up to 80 grams, maybe a little more.  I've got a post on that somewhere also, back from the days when I thought I'd never get more than a couple dozen varieties. lol

My biggest figs turned out to be Vasilika Sika breba figs. They were just as delicious as the main crop, those being just slightly smaller and elongated than the brebas pictured here:
