FINALLY -- FIGS TO EAT

Was starting to feel a little let down. Figs were just not moving. Maybe lack of sun but just the last couple of days I started getting a few. Mind you only one a day. I picked two dark Pane e Vino, Blk Triana,  and today a large Violetta. Photo shows it resting on a teaspoon. I also have a lot of new figs showing now. I just hope they make it.
Enjoy your fig crop.

Lou, thanks for sharing the pics. Is that the Pane e Vino in the left photo?

No it's not. I did not take photos of the Pane e Vino.

They look tasty, Lou. You're a half zone lower than I am, so you give me hope. I have a Violette de Bordeaux that will get picked tomorrow and after that I will l have to wait, but this is my first year for fruiting figs, so I am happy. I hope you enjoy the season!

thanks for the pics. would you please let us know which taste best?

Hi Susie, By far the best tasting was the Violetta fig shown in the spoon. The Pane e Vino I graded as a 7
on the scale 10 being the best and the Blk Triaina I rated an 8. Keep in mind these figs grew up in  conditions not beneficial to having figs taste well. Too much rain and cloudy days. This Violetta to my wife and I the wife both listed it a 10 all the way.
