Nice! Your gonna love this one

It is not very late,cultivar.
Your particular tree is late ,because it is young and the climate was unsuitable for figs ,this year.
Mine is ripening for a month now,but my tree is 6 years old.
Edit note:Checked my book note:
Embryos on June 5
Ripe on September 1
It is mid ripening cultivar, perfect for our climate to ripe in time till October 25
Of course with night temp in the 30,it might not ripe all fruits this year, but ,also the cold anomaly was never before.
These are not Cherry trees, they are Fig tree and they need warmyh trough the Fall.
This is an in ground tree, getting ripe naturally,no ghimmicks here.

Go Jimmy Go  !!

they look delicious

They are sweet and delicious. Herman is right, this is a young tree, only 4 ft tall in ground about 2 yrs old. The figs are still firm, has tight eye.
I should be able to harvest a dozen or so next week.

I am not right,My note book is right, and true.
After all,I have no reason to lie to myself.
Tell the true like it is,and the true will set you free!.
According to my results this year in this difficult climatic conditions Adriatic JH,enters in the group of relyable base fig tree cultivars that will grow and produce fruits almost anywhere,in the lower 48,toghether with:
Marseilles black vs
Malta Black
Tacoma Violet
Improved Celeste(O rourke not)
New Gardeners should start with these before adventuring to Madeira Black,Verdal Longue, and Ischia Black!
And Yes, I grew Brown Turkey and Celeste, many strain, and can tell they are obsolete, and inferior to the above, yet easy to multiply and that is why commercial nurseries sell them.

My adriatic started forming figs same day as my preto noticed on June 3rd and today is sept 20th and neither one are showin signs of swelling atleast not as of yesterday.

Weather this year has been just retarded I will have hundreds of unripe figs this year.

Nice figs

Francisco

Nelson ,I fill sorry for you, tho,I am not to much ahead, just a little due to the fact, here is more southern location, and so,just a little more Summer heat was making the difference.
You are right this Summer was very difficult for figs on the east coast.

I had my first ones this week on a tree started as a cutting in January. They were great. I am looking forward to production next year as an in ground tree. What a great variety

Herman, there are 2 other's that proved themselves in this difficult year they are Nordland Bergfeige & Stella (dalmatie). And what is more impressive is that they are both large quality figs.

 Pete

I have both of them, and they proved to be exceptionally good last year but not this year, due to climate.
The climate was too much for them here.
They just sit there for many days to ripe and when I think they are ripe they are already spoiled inside.
The inside turns fade red instead of dark red and a hole forms in the middle, and at that point they are spoiled already.
If I harvest them earlier they are missing sugar and flavor.
In my opinion the 2 you mentioned are sister ,the diference is outside color.
Very good cultivars but this year they failed just like many others here.
The location is very important and a little distance make a lot of difference.
I personally never had such a bad Summer, and ,I am not going to blame any cultivar,i just state the situation.

I should mention that both of mine are in pot with some protection from the rain so maybe that made the difference. Also Stella made very good tasting brebas. But you are correct this was overall a terrible year.
