Finally Lebanese Red!

Ever since I saw Lebanese Red (Bass) I knew it was one of the figs I really really wanted but cuttings were very expensive and I felt I needed more experience.
Last year I started some 30 varieties of figs (mostly from Jon) and grew them out with about a 90-95% success rate.  This year I figured I was ready to try.  December was my birthday so I decided that this would be my present and tonight I won the auction!  I am so excited.  To make it even better I got some cuttings from Terry (Driveway Farmer) of Scott's black and he added a couple of small cuttings of Maltese Falcon which was also on my wish list.  This was even better than my real birthday!

KERRY(Driveway Farmer) is a VERY GOOD EBAY seller!
Good Luck!!

Kerry is a great guy.  Congratulations and happy birthday!

My Goal is Bass' Sumaki,,
I actually splurged and won an auction last year, had them rooted and had to leave town for a family emergency for my Mother.
Wife managed to kill them while I was gone.........

Enjoy your Lebanese Red, It's one of my favorite.

I would like to know what the difference between ( labanese red). And ( red labanese ) thank you

Rich
Besides the spelling, there are 2 Red Lebaneses,
1 is Bass's,
1 is Marius's

What the difference besides who they came from?

I guess what i am asking .... are they different looking and tasting if grown side by side?

They are different varieties, both good but different.

Here my Lebanese Red, got it as air layer from a friend in Indonesia (Zaitun). He got from bass. Age 3 month old.

Looks good.  I hope mine do well.  I love the little bags over the fruit.  Taking no chances I see.
