Finally some ripe Negronne figs

These figs came from an air layer I did last year.  The mother tree is so far behind that I don't think it's figs will have time to ripen.  I think that leaving it outside last winter with a blue tarp over it protected it but it woke up late and maybe had some root damage because it's growth and figs seem stunted this year.  I had the air layer protected in the greenhouse.

Those look fantastic!

And Zone 6b, too. Hmmmm . . . .

I am in zone 6b I have a negronne in pot.  Has 20 figs on it, they have turned purple but not one has ripened.   The vista that I got from encanto farms has been ripened figs pretty good consistently.

Hi TOM and thanks for doing and showing video.
Had some madeira and Vdb today.

Let us know when you compare negronne and vdb.

Looks absolutely stunning!
