I believe I finally got an LSU purple. The first tree the nursery sold me turned out to be some big green fig, the second turned out to be celeste and I think they got the third one right. I stopped by the nursery a while back with out the second tree and explained to him that they got it wrong also so he gave me the third tree for free with out an exchange. I just hope I'm not going overboard by protecting it with a piece if crawfish sack I cut.

birds can and will still peck through the  mesh, better off covering it with something solid. good luck with the predators.
