Olga,

What's one persons trash is another persons treasure.

Some don't like and some do.

I have a nice big one and am in the process of air layering it and making two big ones.

The cuttings I had doing well suddenly did a flip flop.

Good luck with yours

Just rooted this year-Looking forward to finding out if worth keeping.

Hopefully this two will get ripe..I will post pics and tell how they taste..I understand this is not much help, but this is better then nothing..
I saw somebody post video with Fiorone de Ruvo..For me look very good..
And we do have here lots of sun..Almost year around..So, I real hope this one will be real very, very good..

This is suppose to be a Breba only but it looks like you have one on last year's wood and one on new wood.

Am I wrong?

Dominick,

The di Ruvo ripens only the breba if uncaprified. It will drop the main crop.

That's what i thought-Thanks!

Seems like this is this year wood..
But most of my figs never went dormant, they was grow over winter time..
May be because I was keep them inside for a cold period of time..
But in February I already got up to 12 inch new grows on many figs..
May be they will drop, may be not..
I'm watching my figs every day.. So, I will post how they are doing..

Hi Olga,
thanks for sharing your fig plant pictures.
Always nice to see fig plants in different climates and how folks grow them.

I look forward to seeing some more of your many fig plants as the grow and bare fruit this season.

Hope more of the 1000 members do the same.

I should have said thanks to  EVERYONE for taking the time to post the photos of their fig trees/plants.

Hi, Martin!
I think if more people will share they experiments and pictures we all will get more info to think about..
Two years from now when I start buying figs..I real know almost nothing about them and I real was don't know what I need to do, when and how..
I guess because I love to study and get any avaliable knowlege about things I'm interesting in..
But even now..I still don't real sure why some cuttings grow to a adult plants and some just dye for no reason...
This is real bothering me..
I'm now so worry about my Lebanese Red..I'm on my last one.. And yesterday this one don't look good..I almost sure I will lose this one..
But, may be , some how will survive..
I want to ask if anybody have experience with rooting Lebanese Red..
For me this one very, very slow, roots very small, look very weak..
I guess I can try again and see how this will go..

How about if I post 1,000 pictures, one for each member?  ;)

Jason,
I real think this good idea if people will post more pics or info..
I got few plants from a man on Ebay .. And many people saying bad things about him..
So, I only can guess what I actually got..
One have name Abebereira.. This one have FMV.. bad case..I do all kind leaves on this one.. Now I do have 2 figs on it..
But I will like if other will post pictures , may be this way I can find out what it is..Same with other few I got from him..
They now start produce fruits..So, may be I will have a idea later...
Jon have pics, but more pics is better then less..

Olga,
Here are photos of the Abebereria from Madeira:

You can compare your leaves and fruit to these images. Note the white spots on the unripe green fruit and how it looks when ripe. It's also a long fig. This may help you know if you have an Abebereia or not.
Sue

Hi, Sue!
Thank you very much!
Leaves look exactly ..Hope fruits will too..
I know Abebereira suppose to be a very good one..
So, I just will be very happy if I do have the right one..

Olga, Great picture.  I hope you get to try them this year.

Dominick, Those figs might both be brebas.  I have a Fiorone di Ruvo that is producing figs on wood that grew since January in my front window.  Some of that same wood already produced two main crop figs that dropped when about 1/3 size as would be expected from a San Pedro fig.  The tree stopped growing while still inside, but did not drop all it's leaves when the winter wood hardened and browned up.  It has been outside for a couple of months now, and just recently started putting out new growth, and brebas (?) on that winter grown wood above the old leaves.

Thanks Fignut-Great pics

That's very encouraging since I believe I'm not that far from you.

I have one rooted now from spring that's doing well but all the rain is stopping future progress.

Beautiful photos Fignut (as usual)

Good to see you posting...

Regards

Cecil
