Our little one's first bite of our home grown fig.  

    

Verdict?  She LOVES it!  I have been fighting the urge to pick the fruits off our fig tree too soon just so her first bite experience will be on a perfectly ripe fig.

It's an unknown variety.  Below are pictures of the fig that I manage to save from certain consumption by the little one.

My 5 and 7 year old are now telling ME when the figs are ready to pick.  "No daddy, this one isn't soft enough yet"

Nice pic Kevin. I look forward to doing that with my soon-to-be-here first grandchild next year. Can't wait to introduce them to the love of figs!  (and muscadines, and raspberries, and blueberries -- you get the point :-)
