I was lucky enough to taste my first black Madeira this morning and it was awsome! I was gonna let go a little longer but the honey was starting to drip from the eye and the rain was moving in tonight so I took it. I'm not very good at taste discription but it was clearly the best I've had so far. I apologize for the lighting and I phone pics.

That's great!  I'm still waiting for mine and the weather here isn't looking very good. oh well next year for me.

Thanks for the replies, It was the best I've had this year from my young collection. I was lucky enough to obtain a few of the other popular varieties this past season but the BM was the only one that I received with a few fruit that I let ripen out of those. I don't know if the BM will get beat out next summer but sure will enjoy trying to find out, lol.
