DLS are finally starting to ripen. Not the prettiest fig, but it sure it good..I have over 40 figs to look forward to this year. I will probably need the help of my greenhouse to speed things up, as it's getting cooler here, especially at night.
Hi Frank. That's a great looking fig, I love the green with the beautiful blood red inside. Enjoy! Vito
This must be one special fig. Congratulations.
Looks great!
Great looking fig, Frank.I considered getting this one because it receives lots of praise in M. Pons Book (flavor: Excellent) but gave up on it when i saw how late it was - Late September to November. It probably wouldn't mature correctly over here in most years, but Pons does say it is resistant to rain so i might reconsider... It sure is a great looking fig.
Nice fig Frank. It is one of the most forgotten figs out there! My tree is loaded this year and only a handful have been ripe over the past week here in Charlotte. Now that Matthew is about to hit the Carolinas, I'm sure the others will not ripen. It's been dark and windy today and tomorrow the rains will come! Honestly, I'm glad I don't have to water my trees!!! LOL
Great looking fig Frank. Thanks for sharing.
