First edible 135-15s

Just harvested my first 135-15s
It was juicy and sweet! I've had this tree for at least 5-6 years.

Congratulations!  How are the bananas?

Thanks. I don't grow bananas though. I cannot tell the difference between home grown bananas and Chiquita's. No need to grow when they are 79 cents a pound.

Nice! Is this tree from the same breeding program as 187-25? I might get to try my first 187-25 this year. If they are good figs I don't know why they don't receive common names in addition to the numbers.

I've got a lot of small fig trees growing from cuttings off your trees this year. Thinking about putting a few in the ground with shade cloth to see if they don't grow even faster in-ground.

You have a lot of patience ! i don't know if i could wait that long.

This tree is indeed from the USDA program. I have it in a very shady area which is why it didn't do much last few years. Only reason I kept it so long is laziness. Trees definitely get stunted without repotting. I can vouch that 187-25 is a great fig too.

Looks delicious!
