First fig!

Here is the first fig that this tree has produced!!! I picked it a little early because I just couldn't wait any longer! I have no idea what type of fig it is so feel free to take a guess but the big success here is that it produced!! This is a breba crop fig. Check out the pics.

Congrats!  How did it taste?

Not very sweet, kind of bland. Maybe because the tree is young and the rain we have been getting. I don't have much to compare it too so my best description would be a hint of peach with a very slight crunch from the seeds. The skin was very thin and soft. Overall it was good and I'm sure it will get better over time.

Try letting them ripen a couple more days and see how they are.  We've all picked too early so no shame!

Nice tree guys ,and looks like it has potential . Personally I avoid touching the darn things until they look ripe and droopy enough to pick because I know there's no guarantee I won't pull them off when I get that close. Fig envy syndrome! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats!..you remind me of my first fig which I plucked much earlier than it should be..so silly of me..
