A few days ago I got to eat the first breba off my Cajun Gold tree. The birds really got the first one but that doesn't count although they did leave me a little to taste. This one was hidden inside of some leaves making it harder for them to find. It was very very sweet and not as figgy as the main crop. I wish I had a few more to better evaluate but I think this is the last one. The rest, there were about a dozen, disappeared before they ripened. These are pictures of the fig and a few of the tree showing the promise of a great fig season. Enjoy."gene"

VERY nice, Gene! Congrats!!
What a prolific tree! Wow! We shared our first Breba yesterday too. It was produced by Violet du Bordeaux, and was also sweet and delicious. Our trees are both loaded with main crop figs. Looking forward to the season, and crossing fingers for my first Panachee!Suzi
Nice Gene very nice tree.
Wow! What a beauty. Mine has a few years to go to look like that.
Gene, that is a great looking tree. We up here in the North can only dream of having a tree that big and tall enjoy! Pete
Thanks everyone for the compliments on my tree. This year I think I have more figs than even the mocking birds can eat so I should more than get my share. "gene"
Thanks Viv, your next trip over needs to be planned for when the figs are ripening. Then we can really have a blast. "gene"
