First Frost

Hi all.
It was 3*C here this morning and frost on the roof tops and a little on the grass but I couldn't see any on my fig trees. I sprinkled them with the watering can anyways. There is a lot of new green growth still to harden off.
The forecast is calling for 1*C and frost tonight.

already? dang...

I think it's time to move, Sam!

I just don't know how you guys up North put up with that weather.  It's gota be tough!  I use to live in Fairview Heights Illinois for about 7 years.  I don't ever want to live that far North again.  Once the ground get cold, it stays cold!

I second Frank....its time to move!

We had 48° F night before last and supposed to go down into 40's tonight on L.I. . Sooo the figgy shuffle begins at least with my young ones.

Yep, y'all are in the wrong area.  We are calling for 95 f with a low of 73 f....  Still have a few months of warm weather crops before I can even start pea's, johnny jump ups and snap dragons in December.  Lettuce grows real well starting in late Jan.  As long as it's done by April / May when it starts getting too hot again.

Yes I'd love to move down south, actually somewhere in Hawaii.

I can't take this cold anymore and I love to grow things.

Just have to convince my wife.

Take your wife to the Big Island.  It is the most effective way of convincing her.

James, I might just do that.
