First fruit unripe and dry

Hi,
My first fruiting of Brown Turkey are small, dried and unripe. Is this normal ?
By the way, I'm in Asia.

I had this problem too until I water more, especially on hot days, and fertilize regularly. However, it could be other issues that I am not aware of.

Not for me. Usually large and juicy. Yours must have been aborted, diseased, or way past ripe.

All of my trees have not yield good fruit yet. All have been dried out, I water daily twice and deep water twice a week. I think because I bought most last year, that they are still too young. Most are in pots.

No it's not normal but it can happen.
First thing to check would to make sure it is the tree you think it is. Look on line for pictures of leaves of the same variety and pictures of ripe fruit.
There is the possibility that you purchased a tree that needs pollination by the fig wasp. If that's the case and you don't have the fig wasp in your area
then you'll never get a ripe fig. If all checks out ok then it could be the tree is young and isn't ready to ripen a fig quite yet. It could be a number of things
like an under developed root system, fertilizer, the tree is just way to small to support fruit, the weather conditions or any number of things. Concentrate of letting the tree put on some good growth this year and it should set you up with a crop of figs next year.
I hope it turns out good for you in the long run.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your reply.

This is a airlayered fig which I got it in Dec 2015.

I guess I will have let it have good growth and hope to have to good yield soon.

Hi,
Pics of the tree and the fruits would help.
I tasted figs from a random tree next to a river and the fruits all looked odd... that's life. That's
The reason why one should go with known strains ...
Or could be the condition of the tree ...
