First JH Adriatic coming to fruition

This whole thing has been a live and learn experience.  My thread on making shade is a classic example of that.  Click that link if you haven't seen it.

It took three iterations to 'almost' get it right.  My latest struggle with certain aspects of it.... I should have built the damned shade about 2' taller because my trees which are rooted into the ground under the canopy are shooting up through the shade material, and I can't move the trees without damaging the roots....  Ugh.  I can't really pinch the tops to branch them out or my figs will be overcrowded.  It's a lose-lose situation.

Anyway ... it's definitely live and learn.  If you have any breakthroughs that you think might be helpful to my cause, give a shout.

Tasted one today and it is my
New favorite green fig this season

It is my favorite green fig period.

I was blessed with three this year from the airlayer a figfriend so graciously gave which is now 6' tall.  One was totally swollen and split and it still tasted way better than the 'average' fig from anything else.

This is a keeper.  I'm curious how it compares to other adriatic strains, calvert and verte.

Even after a hurricane and all the rain we had here in nj it was still supirior.

Hi Satellitehead,
Since you bumped the thread, how has been doing that tree - jhadriatic, style a keeper three years after ?
