First LSU purple not so purple

When I first joined the forum I was asking about a green fig that I bought as an LSU purple. I exchanged that tree for what I hope is a real LSU purple. When I or back from my little trip I was surprised to see this little guy getting ripe but it looks more like a Celeste, it tasted pretty good but not a whole lot of flavor like a Celeste. I should have left it a little longer but it had a couple small splits cause of the rain. I'm hoping this tree turns out true because I'm starting to think my luck isn't so good when it comes to picking out trees, lol

Has anyone ever seen a LSU purple that looked this way?

You have a celeste

That's what I was afraid of, they did it again, I can understand that a mix up can happen from time to time, but I have yet to buy a fig tree from this nursery that is true to name.

My LSU Purple is dark purple on the outside and amber on the inside.

Yes Vivian I was the one who emailed you. I wish I would have known this tree was not what it was supposed to be because I would have stopped in at native sun when I passed through the area the other day. The place where I bought this tree and the other ones that were mislabeled is about 30 min for my house so I guess I was just trying to take the easy way out, lol. They don't propergate any of their trees, they buy from another nursery so I guess it's a little easier for things to get mixed up. I looked for native sun when I passed through but I didn't see it from hwy 90 so I guess I need to look a little harder next time. I would like to find a bigger LSU purple around here but I can promise the next time I'm on that end I'm gonna stop by there. Thanks everyone.
