First main crop fig!

Yes!  I had it today.  It was.......OK, not great.  Sweet, jammy consistency, not very figgy, and a lot smaller then the breba! I hope the others taste better, maybe it will improve with age, maybe it's not a Celeste!

The extra dark area on the left was a spot from the outside where ants were working on  YUK!! I hate those little buggers!

Joann what a nice looking fig do you have quite a few on the tree? 

I counted about 20.  It's my first year with it - I bought it at a local nursery.  I wanted something big enough to put in the garden and would produce this year.  I am going to start another post later today or tomorrow with pictures of the garden.

Well congratulations.  Any fig is better than no fig!

Bob, you are so right about that!  I checked the tree about an hour ago and it looks like two more are starting to ripen!

Still, it would be nice to know what I have lol
