First Ripe Figs of the Season

I received the cutting from Navid, who was wonderfully generous to me late last year.  I rooted this Unknown Dark Greek and kept it under a grow light over the winter. It put on some main crop figs, and I just let it do what it wanted.  After a couple weeks outside they ripened up into these little delicious treats, which my toddler thoroughly enjoyed.  He loves figs and excitedly shouts "figs figs figs" whenever I bring in some ripe ones.   Anyways, hope you enjoy the pics.  I got to say that I was SUPER surprised with how excellent these were considering they came from a tiny tree. VERY IMPRESSED.

They are little but look awsome. Fully ripened. Nice job.

How cute! They look delicious!

I feel confused? You have ripe Figs now! Wow o wow! How great is that. I'm going to show these pics to my trees and tell them to get on it!

Very nice, Mario!

Thanks everyone! I thought you'd all like it.  When I tell my "regular" friends "figgy things", they think I am just weird.  It's great to know I'm in good company here.  hugz*

Figgy hugz back and to the lil Fig lover too! You might have created a monster there Mario! I remember when my youngest was a toddler. I was noticing a real decline in my garden. Then I realized the little guy was just sitting with the dog between the rows eating. Between the two of them I had no cilantro, yellow squash or lettuce. I can't even imagine if I'd been into Figs then. Happy spring!

Great job!  I think you win for earliest main crop...err figs period.

Thank you Don.

Congratulations!  Look out when the toddler loves figs, he will grow up and you'll never see another one.

You beat me to it. My LSU Gold won't be ready for any other month. Great job.

Thanks, I've got one LSU Black ripening and then it will be a couple months until I see anything else.
