First Sal's Corleone figs

I got a very pleasant surprise to see 2 ripe figs on my tree this early in the year. They were in the middle of the tree and up a little high so I had to bend the branch down to get them. A very pleasant surprise indeed!

Hi, How were they?  I have the Sal's Gene fig tree but this is the first year with figs on it.  Do you have that one too?

No the only Sal's I have it Corleone.  They are good figs, nice size, very figgy and sweet.

Good for you Barry.  ; )
I have one getting ready and look forward to see what they taste like.
Drifting over to the dark side a little ?

They look yummy. My small one grown from cuttings from you have tiny figlets too. Even thought it's frost free here, I doubt there is time enough for them to get as nice as those. I meant to pinch some out, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

One pic of a (dark-sided) Darth Vader ...

Gina, I hope you do get to taste one this year and you may since you don't have any frost. The first year my tree produced figs that didn't ripen in time forst knocked them down and each year since they are earlier and earlier.

Martin, my poor misguided dark fig friend, when I hear of a fig variety I ask first how is it for taste, then maybe I'll ask is it light or dark. There is no chance of me giving up all of my fine light figs.  :-)
