FMV

I was sorting through and cleaning up my hard disk files.  One side interest of mine connected to growing and gardening is collecting old books and literature from the early 1900s on farming, greenhouses, and gardening.  Here is an early paper from University of Florida discussing FMV in the depression era. One commmon issue we all see in trading and buying young plants including scion stock from UCD is FMV.

Jack, if you search this forum for the term FMV, you will see it's been discussed many many times.  It doesn't worry some, and others it does.  Most of us live with it.  It's almost inevitable, sooner or later.  Even wild trees have it.

I'd rather have it than the dreaded nematodes!

Suzi

Someone needs to tell Suzi that Calif. has RKN

Yes I have been on the fig forums for years, just thought the old document was interesting

Cecil, I'm fully aware we can get those dreaded things!  I just prefer the lesser of the two evils! :-))

Suzi

I'm with you Suzi , I'd rather the FMV between the two also !
