Great find Dan. Hope it spreads out and becomes a great cultivar.Especially here in the South.
 Did you notice how the owner cares for the tree, soil,mulch, sun/shade ,fertilizer  ect ?
I was hoping for "Noire de Baton Rouge" (with a Justin Wilson accent of course) but Black Beauty10 will do. 'A fig by any other name' and all.((

It could stand for Goddess of Profound Serendipity.

Dom is no longer a member here.  I did get cuttings of KB from Dom a couple years ago and have a few air layers of it I just took off the tree a week or so ago. 

Does anyone know whether BB10 was ever "released" by Dan?  I suppose if it was released it is quietly being trialed by just a few people.  It would be nice to have this one in circulation.

I am of the opinion BB10 does not exist no matter what he says:)  Would say why I think that but doing so would upset him for no real good reason so won't publicly.

I agree Charlie, if it exists, what's the big secret, let a few cuttings go. Since that hasn't happened to my knowledge, I doubt seriously that it is real. I know if I had something that fantastic, I'd want to spread it around.

I noticed the same thing not being able to read his blog. Dont know how your suppost to get permission to do so when there is no way to contact him.  He does have some very strong views but he also has alot of good info for us deep south growers. Honestly, I kind of enjoy reading the rants! It keeps me guessing as to what will be posted next and keeps me going back plus I get a little fig info mixed in with it. Quite enjoyable! ;)
