Jusalda stopped by today for a bit to look at the fig plants , i saw him coming down street as i was in garden with the smaller tiller turning some weeds.
We had a wonderful chat as we looked at the plants, i showed him a few airlayers that have small roots and then he mentioned grafting . I asked him to show me and got a knife and we went to the maple tree and he did it with skilled perfection, as afterwards one could walk up to tree and not notice what he had done it looked really good ! I may try this next spring who knows on one of my problem plants.
We talked about some cuttings and stuff and mentioned i let him know come late August to stop by and taste some figs.
I dont want to rush the figs to get ripe because that means end of season then is near, for now i enjoy keeping them growing and enjoying there beauty.  ; )

glad you had a nice visit together.  Don't rush the figs I agree. Ciao
