i went to NCSU in late 80's. had a good time. never really noticed fig trees before. yesterday, my wife and i decide to go to one of the restaurants that we used to go back in college. it has same name, but it's not longer the same place. owner has changed, and all that we used to love about the place has changed. but food wasn't all that bad... by the collage dive standard. egg plant parm was rather good.

while walking to the place after parking the car, my wife noticed a fig tree in a church. i couldn't id it, then again, i'm not very good at id'ing trees.

then while driving out of the place after lunch, we also noticed another fig tree in a house not too far from there. good size tree about 12' tall.

i'm rather surprised that my wife is very good at spotting fig trees.

I drive, she spots trees, not assigned duties, just happens that way.  It is amazing to me that you can drive a route for years and all of a sudden there is a tree that you have not seen, found 2 this weekend like that.
