Fox Farm potting soil

Does anyone have any experience with Ocean Forest potting soil from Fox Farm?

Welcome to the forum went to look it up and found this hope it helps

I think it is a small company specializing in Hydroponics supply.  look at the price and you might know what it is for.

I was thinking of trying it on a few fig cuttings next year and see how it works.

Expensive but it works, you can get a similar result with pro mix, bx mix and adding in worm castings, guanos etc, imo it is over priced for it's convenience, but I have never used it, when I can buy bales of Pro mix for 14 $ cdn at the end of the season it's hard to buy anything else.

Hey Michael, welcome to the forum!  Not familiar with this potting soil but know about the price tag associated with it now ;)

I bought 1 bag and I have 2 little guys in 5 gallon buckets in it as we Speak. 1 drop of Gold and the other is a paradiso. Ill let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it.

Goodluck and please do keep us posted?
Where are you from and what is your name?

Good stuff, just expensive.

I don't care about the price as long as it help improve my rooting success.
Can you tell me this product could increase my success?

Nothing worse than losing a rare and hard to fig cutting.

@Rafed, my name is Mike and I'm from CT. I feel the same way, as long as I get them to flourish Its a small price to pay. Got cracked for $0.75 per Fig today at the farmers market!!

Welcome to the forum Mike.

Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do. $0.75 a fig is fine in my book, they're not around everyday I suppose. Hope you enjoyed them.

I'm sure you've hear about the benefits of mycorrhiza and humic acid.

This has it in it, but if you have compost, I think you can do your own mix for a lot less in cost.  This worked well on my vegetables, but i can now make or buy compost locally for a lot less and results are equally as good.     I try not to use non organic fertilizers for a lot of reasons.

HaHa we live in the same town

Mike answered my ad on craigslist for some fig trees I had for sale now he's hooked "hope you have a big yard" LOL

Lot of CT figgers popping up here, AWESOME!!
