Hi Vinny
Very nice fig ! Hope it's  sweet and flavored to your expectations
Heard many times this cultivar to be synonym to BlkMission (?) but in this instance it looks far far from that..

Hello Francisco,
I have heard the same but I believe the Black mission is same as Albacor.
I spoke to Nelson and he said that Spanish have been saying for years that Franciscana is not a black mission , Albacor is!
I have attached a picture and I believe my source from Italy originally revived from his trees from here.

Thank you Vinny
Agree that it should come from a popular strain of the Albacor family

Thanks ,

I forgot to say, the fruit was excellent and really sweet almost like syrup. When I saw the blond interior I didn't expect this much sweetness but it was good. I give it a 6.5 lol

Yes Vinny,

Looking at the pulp pictures I said to myself that that they irradiate a sense of great flavors and sweetness..
A local black cultivar (Smyrna?)  - Preto de Porches - ,  also displays a light amber juicy  color on its insides and is a very sweet and flavored fig... unfortunately it's coming into extinction
