Add me to the list. How sad is it to introduce yourself as what appears to be a fruit forum bully. I am fairly new here (having been here and then away for more than a year) and I personally found your approach to initially be kind of demanding and then more than a little rude. Now, I have just shock at the complete lack of politeness. There are a ton of good people here who would gladly give you the branches off their trees (literally), but you have to build trust and relationships with others, not act as if you, as an unknown person, are entitled to it. A sweet fig draws more attention than one that is sour.

I get the enthusiasm and urgency of wanting new varieties fast and I get the desire to have everyone new be aware that they should be prepared to reciprocate in the sharing and willing to spend their own money. Hey gorg funky 5 is starting to look good

For the record,

Dan (the project owner) initiated a fig-hunt within the 'Iron-Bound'

Portugese section within Newak NJ.

We (including BLB) collected 9 figs.

The Funky-5 was the 5th. I did not like its shape and passed it on.

Dan wanted it very more-so (a stranger fig).

As a more bad memory for me, I do recall stepping on some very foul

smelling dog-poop on that site - hence more to the Funky name

(we all had a very good laugh though).

So you had foul fecal footing in the foray for Funky 5?  :)
